I have a '07 and noticed when I accelerate, my HID flicker quickly. Discussion Starter • #1 • Jan 11, 2009. This is a known issue with GM cars and the correction involves replacing the alternator. These two symptoms often go hand in hand, but not always. My Headlights and Interior lights were flickering as I was driving in this morning. Interior lights and headlights still seem to pulse/flicker while idling the most, when accelerating, it seems the problem goes away until idling again? The flickering is very fast, where the lights flicker probably 5 to 10 times per second. This has been something I've always noticed but always thought of it as a normal thing... but, when I'm at idle, the lights are dimmer than when I'm acclerating.
